Jen had many interests in this world. Foremost was her brother Steven. Steven is mentally challenged and she was like a mother hen when it came to him. Nothing came between her and Steve. She was always the instigator for including him in all aspects of our lives. Many days she would leave work a bit early, pick up Steve at his house and be home with supper started by the time we got there. Lots of times Karen and I would be at the cabin and Jen would arrive from work. There would be Steven with her, all smiles. 'Just thought Steve wanted to spend the night' she'd say. She always had a way of understanding his needs and could communicate with him like no one else could. Jen was his fashion consultant and wouldn't let Mom buy anything for him that wasn't 'IN'. I am sure she is still watching over him.

A true cyber-citizen, she was a person of the net. She was introduced to the internet when she was attending the University of New Brunswick in Saint John. Her enthusiasm was the primary reason we became an ISP. Her involvement convinced her to leave UNB and attend RCC in Toronto the next year to extend her computer savvy. While attending RCC she continued her involvement with the net. Her circle of friends extended all over the world. This was when she picked up the nick 'ameera', arabic for little princess. Unfortunately, it was also the time that she was diagnosed with lupus and ITP.

When she graduated from RCC, she came home and quickly became an integral part of our business. We formed Queens County Internet Services and she became the manager. She was always one to help someone who was struggling with the net. While helping one struggling newbie, she discovered the love of her life, Scott Lowe. Her life quickly became entwined with his.

Jen spent many days at the cabin. She was an outdoors person and loved nothing better than to go hunting or fishing ,usually with Scott but she would put up with her dad if she had to.

Jen was a very caring person and was more concerned with other peoples troubles than with her own. She would always stop what she was doing and explain to some one how to do a certain thing they were having trouble with. She was forever worrying about the health concerns of everyone else in her family and never making an issue about her own.

Jen passed away October 13, 1998 at the age of only 23. She is deeply loved and is missed tremendously.
